Microneedling
WHY SHOULD I GET MICRONEEDLING AT NEW LOOK SOLUTIONS?
Microneedling is a minimal invasive procedure that is performed by our physician, not an aesthetician or tech. The quality of the equipment used is very important in achieving the best results. New Look Solutions is one of only five clinics in the USA that utilizes the most advance microneedling gun, the Dermapen4. The Dermapen4 is a physician-only piece of equipment. It has specialized (ACM) anti-contamination mechanisms within the gun to protect you from cross contamination. The individual use cartridges have more microneedles than any others, and the speed of the needle injections can be rapidly adjusted between four settings. The more micro-holes made, the better the result. The Dermapen4 is Blue Tooth activated, computerized and can change treatment depths on the go. It has a very special setting designed to specifically treat acne scarring. It can treat very delicate areas such as the under-eye area as well. Most guns on the market require stopping the procedure to hand-adjust the depth and there are no other guns on the market that have the range of depths that can treat these difficult conditions effectively.
WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?
In the microneedling procedure, we use a Dermapen4 microneedler, a physician-use only microneedling gun that has a cartridge with 16 very tiny needles within it. The cartridge is run over skin and it oscillates up and down making tiny micro-holes. By adjusting the depth of the needles as well as the speed of the oscillation rate, different skin conditions can be treated. The micro-holes cause collagen and fibrinogen in the area to respond as if there has been an injury. They are stimulated to regrow and branch which causes a significant increase in collagen production in the skin.

WHAT DOES MICRONEEDLING DO?
Microneedling is a non-surgical facial rejuvenation technique can treat an amazing array of skin conditions. Our team offers microneedling with or without PRP infusion. You will look plump, pink and luminous for a couple of weeks if treated for our “M- plump”. When done with a shallow depth, it plumps the skin and makes the skin look more radiant. When done for more significant skin conditions a deeper depth is used. Microneedling is very effective in treating fine lines, pore size, wrinkles, rough texture, pigment, acne and acne scarring. It can even be used to increase hair growth, cellulite and stretch marks! Depending on the complaint, different serums are used with the procedure. For aggressive anti-aging, scarring and hair growth we recommend using PRP (platelet rich plasma), that will be reviewed at your consultation.
When micro-needling therapy is combined with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Treatment, collagen production is increased nearly 100 fold and the skin heals more quickly and makes a dramatically increased amount of collagen.
DOES MICRONEEDLING HURT?
Not at New Look Solutions. Patients report that they feel hardly any discomfort, as we numb your skin prior to treatment with a cream that we have compounded specifically for our clinic allowing for the best numbing possible. We utilize a special numbing cream that is formulated and made for us by a local pharmacy. The procedure is pain free.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I DO MICRONEEDLING?
This is a difficult answer as the treatment routine and plan vary based on the client’s complaints and desires. This is why we do a physician consultation prior to scheduling the procedure. In general, the procedure is done 4-5 weeks apart.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER MICRONEEDLING?
Again, the post treatment recovery depends on the condition treated. If you get our “M-Plump,” expect to feel as though you have a mild sunburn on the day of treatment. Your skin will be pink and usually look normal and glowing by the following day. If more aggressive treatment is done, you can expect that you will be red to pink for 2-3 days and this varies per person.
IS THERE DOWN TIME?
There is essentially no down time for our “M-Plump.” Microneedling done for more advanced skin issues requires a deeper setting and you should anticipate laying low for at least 2 days if it is on the face.
WHAT IS THE COST?
Again, the cost varies based on the area treated and whether PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is used or treatment serums. This is why we have you get a physician consultation prior to the procedure. At that appointment you can meet the doctor, discuss the issue, get a full skin evaluation and go over anticipated treatments and costs.
